Alexandria, VA, October 28, 2026 – More than half the words published by major magazine publishers now take the form of new media, including blogs, videos, newsletters, and podcasts. Use of these formats continues to grow, particularly among students, who increasingly rely on them for research and learning. Yet much of this material remains uncatalogued, difficult to discover, and at risk of disappearing.
Coherent Digital today announces a major expansion of its online offerings for some of the world's most influential magazines, bringing together traditional articles, historic archives, and the full range of contemporary digital media in a single, integrated resource. Featured publications include Harper's, Commentary, Commonweal, The Progressive, The American Spectator, The Weekly Standard, Washington Examiner, Washington Monthly, The New Leader, Orion, Americas Quarterly, The New York Review of Books, and La Follette's Magazine.
Together, these distinguished publications document more than a century of political, cultural, and intellectual debate, representing perspectives from across the political spectrum. Many publications are available in their entirety, from their first issue through the most recent content.

A new platform, created specifically to showcase a publisher's range of publications, makes thousands of videos, newsletters, podcasts, and blogs cross-searchable with articles. Students and researchers can analyze material across media types and jump directly to specific mentions within audio and video recordings. Content is indexed, citable, discoverable, and, in most cases, preserved for long-term access.
The new platform and added functionality will be rolled out over the coming months, and made available at no extra charge to hundreds of existing OpinionArchives customers. The platform preserves the integrity of each original publication, while enabling cross-searching with millions of policy reports, books, and other relevant media.
Specific features include:
•Dedicated magazine portals for single-title access•Advanced discovery, including full Boolean and proximity searching across media types•Integrated audio and video searching, with navigation directly to relevant mentions•Accessibility conforming to WCAG 2.2 Level AA•Comprehensive library integration, including MARC records, discovery-service indexing, and COUNTER 5 usage statistics
