The new Canadian Electronic Library

For nearly twenty years, the Canadian Electronic Library was used by hundreds of Canadian libraries as an authoritative source.

In 2021, Trojman Corporation and Coherent Digital developed a new version, with more content and on the Canada Commons platform. A new directory of Canadian research and government organizations has nearly 5,000 entries and is growing.

Advanced Search. Search with truncation, stemming, a full suite of Boolean operators, and other tools.

Social tools. Follow individual topics, people, or organizations; create branded portals; and receive alerts.

Enriched content. Find tables within content and export them in CSV format.

Upload your content. Upload and share documents or links—within minutes, they’re available to the Canada Commons community.

Integration and discovery. Canada Commons works with major discovery systems including Summon, EDS, and Primo.
