Lyrasis and Coherent Digital Formalize Partnership Agreement for Member Access

March 23, 2026—Alexandria, Virginia—Coherent Digital and Lyrasis have reached an agreement for Lyrasis members to acquire Coherent’s online publications.

Beginning immediately, all Lyrasis members will be eligible to receive special rates when purchasing or subscribing to Coherent’s products. While the agreement does not expire, a current offer is in place for additional year-end discounts through December 2026.

Lyrasis libraries will now have special rates for acquiring:

Coherent’s comprehensive suites of real-world information in the applied sciences and in policy, including all modules of Applied Science Commons and Policy Commons

continually growing collections that capture activist voices for social justice, including all modules in the Social Justice and Culture series

global studies collections, including all modules of Africa Commons, Latin America Commons, and South Asia Commons

rare archival content covering twentieth-century European history, including previously unpublished content from The National Archives (UK)

North American history collections, including rare newspapers, magazines, and other materials

Lenny Rogers, Coherent’s Vice President of Sales, said, “We structured an offer that serves every Lyrasis library and specifically allows even the smallest to participate. Flexible access options—multiyear subscriptions, access-to-own models, and other adaptable acquisition structures—will meet the diverse needs of all the members. Our priority from the outset was to make the program inclusive.”

Christy Urquieta Cortes, Strategist with the Lyrasis Content and Scholarly Communication Initiatives Division, noted the strong alignment of the organizations’ missions based on a rigorous evaluation of Coherent Digital and their content offerings.
